Sahara Peters is a transfer student from Davidson College, NC. She is currently a junior Biology major at the University of South Florida. She intends to pursue medical school after graduating in 2016. Although she is a Pre-medical student, her interests range from women's healthcare issues to human disabilities to global environmental change. As a Floridian and earth denizen, she believes that we all have a responsibility to protect our planet. She is currently volunteering at Planned Parenthood, and working in the Rohr Ecology lab under Dr. Sarah Knutie on the effects of environmental contaminants on disease risk in frogs.
