Kerri graduated in the fall 2015 with a bachelors in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Biomedical Physics from the University of South Florida. She plans to pursue a Medical Scientist Training Program with a PhD in Microbiology where she hopes to research cognitive effects of the human microbiome. She currently assists in Dr. Rohr’s lab under the direction of Dr. Sarah Knutie researching blowfly infestation of birds and is developing methods to culture bacteria from frog guts. Previously, Kerri worked for Cognitive Research Corporation in Phase I, II, and III trials researching cognitive and CNS effects of pharmaceuticals. Kerri loves hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, fishing, medical botany, and practically any other wilderness sport.
