About Jessica

She/Her/Hers

Jessica graduated with a B.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 2016. After graduation, she worked at the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON) where she worked on field-based projects that broadly examined the effects of environmental changes in disease, climate, and land use on ecosystems in Kansas. For her Master's thesis, Jessica plans to investigate host-parasite interactions with a box-nesting bird-parasite system at Itasca Biological Station in northern Minnesota. Jessica enjoys binge-watching shows, painting, listening to podcasts, and being a naturalist while hiking.
