Lauren is a senior at the University of South Florida majoring in Marine Biology and minoring in Environmental Science and Policy. She is interested in coral reef restoration, fisheries management, and deep-sea exploration. Lauren loves scuba diving and has dove throughout the Caribbean, New Zealand, Fiji, Florida and California. Previously, Lauren worked as an intern at the Vero Beach Marine Lab where she studied seahorse courtship behavior. She has also volunteered at the Leigh Marine Lab in New Zealand and studied the growth patterns of Triplefin fishes through the use of scientific diving. She is now a research assistant in Dr. Rohr’s lab under the guidance of Dr. Knutie where she works on the effect of diet on the gut microbiome of tadpoles.
